Kariana Colon, a UGA undergraduate student, presented her work on the Chick-EES project at UGA’s annual CURO Undergraduate Research Symposium this April. Kariana was given a CURO research award for her work this year identifying insects from farms and testing for associations between bacterial prevalence in chicken feces and weather variables. She is graduating this May and will start her Master’s degree this summer in Dr. Jason Schmidt’s Entomology lab. Congrats, Kariana!
