UGA’s College of Agriculture has published a follow-up story and call to action for our Chick-EES project! We have officially launched our Chicken Dinner testing service for growers and are requesting any pastured chicken producers to take our survey and see if they qualify to participate in our Chicken Dinner program.

Kariana Colon, a UGA undergraduate student, presented her work on the Chick-EES project at UGA’s annual CURO Undergraduate Research Symposium this April. Kariana Colon (Class of 2024) presented the work she did as part of the Chick-EES project at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) Undergraduate Research Symposium on 4/2/2025. Kariana joined the Chick-EES project in Fall 2024 and spent two semesters performing DNA extractions and PCR assays, and identifying insects from sweep net samples.…
